Physical DescriptionSilk fashion scarf in cream and blue with edge trim containing classical patterns, an image of a statue of a winged man in each corner, and a circular design in the center containing images of artifacts from the Acropolis.
Historical NoteReceived from Professor Dimitrios Pandermalis, the President of the Acropolis Museum, who gave President Barack Obama a personal tour of the museum during the President's visit to Athens, Greece in November 2016.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.
