Physical DescriptionGreen long-sleeve dress with colorful beaded and embroidered decorations around the bodice, cuffs, and bottom of skirt. Tassels of silver medallions and leaf shapes hang from the front bottom of the dress and three hang from each sleeve. Fringe made from colorful yarn with white beads at the ends hangs around the perimeter of the dress and sleeves. Long beaded tassels hang from either side of the neck. There are embroidered silver bands with circular medallions around the sleeves and bottom of skirt. Above the silver embroidered band at the bottom is a band of orange and silver woven decorations and circles. At the back there are two pink ties.Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to the First Family during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
