Physical DescriptionLarge ball ornament decorated with zebra print paper and imaged of the DuSable Museum of African American History. On opposite sides of the ball wooden figures are glued to the surface one male and one holding an instrument and the other standing straight. One figure is peeling off the surface about to fall off. At the top of the image of the museum is a wooden disk with the Chicago DuSable Museum of African American History burnt into the surface. A black white and brown stone and glass bead necklace is associated with the ball. The blue ribbon at the top has the word REJOICE stitched in white thread.
Historical NoteThis Christmas ornament was part of the holiday display for the 2009 White House Blue Room Tree.

Custodial History / ProvenanceThis item is material associated with various agencies and offices during the Obama administration and maintained as government property until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library. Additional Details
