Physical DescriptionA brass plaque dedicating the USCGC Stratton (WMSL 752) commissioning. The piece consists of a brass plaque mounted on a wood base, with a brass challenge coin set into the wood on either side of the plaque. The plaque itself features an image of the ship in profile (from the starboard side). The coin to the left of the plaque has an image of the ship's badge on it, consisting of a shield with an eagle sitting atop it. The coin to the right features an image of Captain Dorothy Stratton, and the ship. On the reverse side are two holes cut at each side, intended for hanging the piece.
