Physical DescriptionBlue hand-painted birdhouse with a conical-shaped light blue roof that has a scalloped edge. Attached to the roof with a small metal hook is a green pipe cleaner. The house is a cylinder painted with trees and flowers. Adhered near the circular opening are two fabric patches, one depicting a parrot mid-flight and the other a grazing gazelle. In front of the opening there is a small peg sticking out. The bottom of the bird house is also painted blue and has an outline of the continent of Africa drawn in marker with the Equator, Kenya, and two town names marked.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThis item is material associated with various agencies and offices during the Obama administration and maintained as government property until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
