Physical DescriptionCertificate for First Lady Michelle Obama commemorating the launch of the Veterans Philanthropy Exchange led by the Council on Foundations in partnership with Joining Forces. The certificate is white with red and blue lettering and two Joining Forces Veterans Philanthropy Exchange commemorative coins are attached.
Historical NoteOn April 30, 2014, First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden announced that the Joining Forces initiative partnered with the Council on Foundations to launch the Veterans Philanthropy Exchange. With more than $100 million pledged, the Veterans Philanthropy Exchange would provide financial support to organizations that focus on veterans and military families.
