Physical DescriptionA white china soup tureen (.a) with lid (.b), and under plate (.c). The tureen is decorated along the top outer edge with a molded motif modeled after the decoration on the china President James Madison used in the White House. Below that is a band of "Kailua Blue" framed by a gold band on each side. The tureen has two decorative knob handles on either side. The lid of the tureen is undecorated, with the exception of a stylized finial on the top. The under plate has a decorative rim of "Kailua Blue" bands outlined in gold and a decorative gold edge and a circular indentation in the bottom for the tureen to sit in. This grouping is a part of the Obama State Service China, and the Special Obama Presidential Library and Museum Set, made in 2015.Overall - 3D (.a: Tureen Lid) H 1 1/2 in x Diam 5 1/4 in (3.8 cm x 13.3 cm )
