Physical DescriptionCommemorative coin set comprised of four Polish złoty coins minted in 2009 to celebrate the anniversary of Poland's establishment as a democracy in 1989. The set has a gold-toned 200 ZL coin (.a) depicting a man speaking in front of a crowd on the head and machinery on the reverse, a small 25 ZL coin (.b) with the Polish coat of arms on one side and the logo for the Polish labor union on the other side, a 10 ZL coin (.c) in silver with the Polish coat of amers on one side and the labor union logo with a crowd and priest on the other, and the final coin is a 2 ZL coin (.d) with the Polish coat of arms on one side and a crowd of people at a circular table on the other.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to Chairman of the Federal Reserve Ben S. Bernanke during the Obama administration. It was received through the U.S. General Services Administration and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.
