Physical Description
Physical DescriptionA Seiko Astron wristwatch that has the abbreviations of city names engraved around the watch face. Opposite the city abbreviations is a UTC number chart with positives and negatives to aid with adjusting watch time. The main watch face has lines for indicating time with a subdial to the left that tracks distance and a subdial in the bottom that is a 24 hour clock. To the right of the face there is an inset dial that counts seconds. The watch has one button on the left and a dial framed by two buttons on the right. The strap is stainless steel chainlink.

Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to U.S. Speaker of the House, John Boehner during the Obama administration. It was received through the U.S. General Services Administration and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.
