Physical DescriptionBlack and silver CROSS brand signing pen. The pen (.a) has a black barrel and grip section, as well as a rhodium plated tip and finial. Printed in silver across the barrel is a Presidential Seal and President Barack Obama's signature. The cap (.b) is black and contains a rhodium plated clip, finial, and accent band.
Historical NotePresident Barack Obama used this pen to sign H.R. 3590, Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act on March 23, 2010.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThis item is part of materials acquired by the White House support staff during the Obama administration, and maintained by the Executive Office of the President (White House Office of Records Management) until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
