Physical DescriptionPhysical DescriptionGlass and gold curved oval-shaped platter modeled after the design of President Obama's Oval Office rug. The matte gold surface of the platter has the Great Seal of the United States in the upper portion above text. There is a raised reflective gold border with an inscription around the edge that features several historic quotes separated by stars.

Historical NoteThis platter is an example of a diplomatic gift that the United States Department of State would give to foreign leaders during the Obama Administration. This was intended as a diplomatic gift to President Park Geun-Hye of the Republic of Korea for her planned visit to the White House in June 2015. The visit was postponed due to the Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) outbreak occurring in South Korea.
