Physical DescriptionA spun ceramic jar with lid. The jar (.a) has grooves along its outer edge, running continuously from top to bottom. The lid (.b) is circular with a recessed top and a knobby handle that is slightly raised in the center. The lid is slightly wider than the top of the jar.

Historical NoteThis clay jar is an example of the diplomatic gifts that the US Department of State would give to foreign leaders during the Obama Administration. This one was a gift from First Lady Michelle Obama and intended for foreign leaders at the UN General Assembly in 2010.
