Physical DescriptionFramed print of an original illustration of President Obama created from a handwritten narrative about the President and the events of his administration. The Seal of the President of the United States is printed in color in the upper left corner. The portrait is enclosed by a black border with printed text at the bottom center. The print is matted in a gold and navy blue mat in a brown wood frame with gold accents and a gold-colored metal plaque that reads "44th." The text of the biography begins on the far left.
Historical NoteAccording to the certificate of authenticity on the reverse: "Rachard has Asperger's, a high functioning autism, and he finds solitude in transcribing sentences into art."
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.
