Physical DescriptionJaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Geographic Caliber 939 men's gold watch, white face with gold detailing and black leather band. Automatic Swiss movement and programmable for 24 time zone with two actively displayed.

A gold twelve at the top and the rest of the hours are marked with gold triangles with circles and minutes are marked with black dashes. There are three subdials: The first subdial on the left goes from 0 to 40 and indicates the power reserve. The second subdial to the right goes from 1 to 31 in increments of every other odd number and is used to track phases of the moon. The third subdial in the bottom center tracks the time in the second time zone. Underneath the third subdial is a panel that lists city names in order of time zone.

There are two dials for adjusting the watch. The Jaeger-LeCoultre logo is on each dial. The first in the top left of the watch is for adjusting the second time zone. The second, center on the right of the watch, is the primary dial for adjusting hours, minutes, and seconds.

The watch is self-winding and the back is clear with visble watch gears. The gears are primarily silver colored with gold filling on the inscriptions. There are inscriptions on the back of the watch face and the strap.

Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
