Physical DescriptionGold teardrop earrings with diamonds and emeralds. The earrings are comprised of overlapping geometric loop designs that are gold and diamond. There is an emerald in the center of the loops and another on the stud.Historical NoteThis item was a gift from Mohammed VI, King of Morocco, and Princess Lalla Salma. It was given to First Lady Michelle Obama during her trip to Morocco to expand on the Let Girls Learn initiative in June 2016.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to Malia Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
