Physical DescriptionWooden stationery box (.a) with the Presidential Seal engraved on a silver plate on the top of the lid and silver plating around the sides. The silver knob of the box is inscribed with the President's initials. Within the box is the following: three sets (.b-d) of personalized loose stationery paper blue letter heading; three sets (e-g) of loose card stock paper with blue letter heading. A Visconti brand limited edition Declaration of Independence Series pen (h). Pen has a roller ball tip designed to resemble a scrimshaw engraving of the Declaration of Independence. The pen also has decorative silver embellishments. Accompanying the pen is a small magnifying glass (i) with the Presidential Seal on the silver band around the handle.

Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration.
