Physical DescriptionGold, black, and silver tassel necklace with metal rings, black silk cord, pink and clear crystal medallion embellishment. A large black ring in the center in the center and metal chain fringe hang down at the bottom. The necklace is held together with black leather straps and a magnetic clasp.Historical NoteFirst Lady Michelle Obama wore this necklace at the private dinner in New Delhi, India with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on November 7, 2010.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the First Lady and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
