Physical DescriptionGreen team 26 cycling jersey with white detailing. Down the proper left front of the shirt is a large white stripe with the Team 26 logo, a circle with angel wings, a star, and "SHS 26", and the organization name going down the stripe. On the left sleeve there is a printed oval shape patch with ribbons reading "Newtown Conn. Police" and a picture of an American Flag flying in a suburban town. Printed on the proper right sleeve is a peace sign and the word peace. Printed on the reverse is the logo, "Sandy Hook School", the organization name, and "Newtown, Connecticut". A series of three pockets are sewn on the back with the message "We Ride For" where the proper left pocket has an anchor symbol and says "Hope", the center pocket has a peace sign and says "Peace", and the proper right has a heart and says "Love".

Historical NoteReceived from founder of the organization "Team 26", a biking group of 26 people that rides from Newtown, Connecticut to Washington, DC. to honor the victims of the Sandy Hook School shooting. The gift is signed by all the 2016 participants and was received on the occasion of a meeting with President Barack Obama in the Roosevelt Room after the ride.Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration.
