Physical DescriptionWooden cigar humidor in the shape of a house with side paneling and a single gable roof. In the front bottom right corner carved out from the house siding is the phrase "Republica de Cuba." The front of the humidor is designed to have two fake windows and a door. There are three tiered drawers at the front that can be pulled out by a lip or knotch. Within the smallest top drawer there is a removable hygrometer inset on a piece of unstained wood. Beneath the hygrometer, the maker's brand name is debossed in black. Cigars can be stored in the two larger drawers and base of the humidor.

Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
