Physical DescriptionRed, blue, mustard yellow, green, and cream Azerbaijani rug with very short cream fringe along the short ends. The center field features a pattern of tiled red squares with inner geometric designs in a blue grid on a mustard yellow background, The borders around the field and perimeter of the rug feature a pattern of colorful eight-pointed stars. Between these borders is a wider band with a cream background and pattern of larger pointed geometric shapes and groups of four abstract geometric shapes, all in various colors.

Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama administration.
