Physical DescriptionFountain pen crafted by hand using Irish Fermanagh Bog Wood with metal pen finishings by Dayacom. 22-karat gold and cobalt detailing on the ends and the barrel and a rhodium finish. Gold flower shape raised on the end of the pen and pen cap. When uncapped, pen tip unscrews from empty ink cartridge.Historical NoteReceived as a gift from Arlene Foster, the First Minister of Northern Ireland, on the occasion of her meeting with Vice President Joe Biden and First Deputy Minister of Northern Ireland Martin McGuinness in March 2016.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
