Physical DescriptionMatted print on photo paper that depicts Edmond Town Hall, a chapel, and other buildings in Newtown, Connecticut along Main Street at night. There are twenty-six stars in the sky shining down on the town to represent the twenty-six victims of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School on December 14, 2012. The town is depicted in the winter with holiday decorations on the buildings and a flagpole with an American flag in the foreground. The mat is signed by many community members in different shades of ink.

It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.
