Physical DescriptionA bag made of recycled plastic depicting First Lady Michelle Obama. The First Lady is wearing a red dress and riding a swing. She is framed by patriotic garland and red curtains. Across the top it reads, "Mighty Michelle." A banner underneath her reads, "First Lady of Fabulous." At her feet are flowers and a basket of fruit along with a pink fawn. There is a small pocket inside depicting a dog with black fur that reads, "We love her." This graphic is also on the narrow ends of the exterior of the bag. In the background is the White House falling throught the air attached to a parachute. The bag has navy blue handles for carrying.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
