Physical DescriptionSparkling blush sequined sleeveless column evening gown with a molded bustier and sweetheart neckline. The skirt consists of a layer of blush tulle laid over a layer of sequined embroidered fabric, a layer of tulle, and a layer of pale pink silk. The bodice has an internal corset, and on the exterior, clear beads and pink glittery and metallic sequins are sewn in intersecting lines. Blush band of velvet ribbon around the waistband.
Historical NoteFirst Lady Michelle Obama wore this evening gown at the Kennedy Center Honors on December 7, 2014.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the First Lady and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
