Physical DescriptionFigurine depicting a scene of a man with a spear attacking a white bear over the body of a seal. The figurine is attached to a base of bone. The man and bear are made from white polished stone and the seal is made from polished brown speckled stone. The spear is movable.
Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of President Barack Obama's trip to Alaska in the summer of 2015.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
