Historical NoteFirst Lady Michelle Obama and Second Lady Dr. Jill Biden met with military families in St. Louis, Missouri, and recognized Major League Baseball's support of those who serve and their families. They watched Game One of the 2011 World Series with Marine Lance Cpl. James Sperry and his daughter Hannah, 5, at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri on Oct. 19, 2011. The gift was cleaned from the residence closet. [This is NOT the jacket FLOTUS wore during the event, though it is identical. This is most likely an extra that was kept on hand.]
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to the First Family during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
