Physical DescriptionFramed poster commemorating the 50th anniversary of a speech by President John F. Kennedy at American University. The black and white photograph depicts President Kennedy giving a speech at a podium with the Seal of the President of the United States attached to the front. He is positioned behind rails to which is attached the circular logo of American University. Text is displayed in white in a banner in teal next to the photograph and at the bottom. The poster is matted beneath two white mats in a black frame

Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.
