Physical DescriptionAlternating white and orange WNBA basketball printed with a depiction of the presidential seal on one panel and dedication information on another panel. The ball is signed throughout in black ink by the players on the 2014 Phoenix Mercury team. Debossed and printed on two of the panels is a depiction of the WNBA logo, a sillhouette of a woman dunking a basketball. The Spalding logo is on two of the panels on the basketball.Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of a ceremony at the White House on August 26, 2015, to honor the 2014 Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) Champion Phoenix Mercury.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama during the Obama administration.
