Physical DescriptionPair of Nike Flyknit racing running shoes with a red and navy blue open weave body (.a-b). The outer side of the show is navy blue with a large white Nike Swoosh. The interior side of the shoe is red with a large white Nike Swoosh. The toes of each shoe are mixed woven red and navy blue. Trim at the ankles is white with red and navy blue striping. Embroidered in white thread on the tongues of the shoes, with one word on the left and the other on the right, is "Let's Move". Printed inside the sole on the shoes, each phrase on one shoe, is "Land of the Free" over white stars and "Home of the Brave" over red and white stripes.Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
