Physical DescriptionSterling silver Hanukkah menorah with a removable shamash (middle branch) that points outward. The base is decorated with leaf designs and geometric patterns. The branches are straight silver rods that hold the oil cups.
Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of an Oval Office visit by a delegation from Chabad-Lubavitch on April 27, 2015.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.
