Physical DescriptionA quilted wall hanging with red border and quilted square designs in various colors of brown, red, blue, orange and cream. The center a large embroidered design of red and brown on a cream background with the sun shaped ensign of the Kyrgyzstan flag in the center in orange and blue outlined in brown. On the bottom hang three quilted squares connected with decorative beads and have red tassels hanging from the bottom point. The back is entirely black.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
