Physical DescriptionFramed Marine One holiday greeting card from the Marines of HMX-1 with a plaque. The card depicts a snow globe containing Marine One, the Washington Monument, a snowman, and Santa Claus. A Santa hat with "Seasons Greetings" across the hat band is positioned on top of the snow globe. The Seal of the President of the United States and the Marine Corps HMX-1 Emblem are featured along the top edge. The card's border looks like a gold frame with multi-color lights around the interior border. The card and plaques are mounted behind red velvet mat boards in a reddish brown frame.Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama during the Obama administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
