Physical DescriptionNavy blue velvet robe with red trim. Attached to the trim are red tassels decorated with white and black beads. There are also lines of red beads that run the full length of the garment on both the right and left sides, and red and white beads around the neckline.
Historical NoteReceived during a visit from Saudi Arabian Prince Mitib bin Abdallah bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud to the White House on November 19, 2014.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to the First Family during the Obama administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
