Includes recordings of the visit of Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. to India (Five Weeks' Tour to India from February-March, 1959) and the visit of Mrs. Coretta Scott King to accept Jawaharlal Nehru Award for International Understanding to Reverend Martin Luther King (Posthumously) for the year 1966 in January, 1969.
Historical NoteReceived in September 2014 from Prime Minister of India, Narendra Damodardas Modi, during an official foreign state visit to the White House.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration.
