Physical DescriptionSet of two crystal sake glasses. One glass is blue (.a) with slightly concave circles throughout the entire glass with small starburst designs between each circle. The other glass is red (.b) with carved lily pad designs surrounding its base and slightly concaved circles around the middle and top. The areas that contain the designs on both glasses are clear.Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of President Barack Obama's visit to Japan in April 2014.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
