Physical DescriptionRed jacket for City Year's 25th Anniversary personalized for President Barack Obama. The jacket has black bands at the wrists and waist and a black inner lining. "President Obama" is embroidered in black on the right chest. There is a circular yellow, white, red, and black City Year logo patch on the left breast above a rectangular "25th Anniversary Corps" black and yellow patch. There is a U.S. flag patch on the upper left shoulder and a rectangular black and white "Americorps Getting Things Done" patch on the upper right shoulder. "City Year" is printed in black across the shoulders.
Historical NoteReceived in the photo line in Boston, Massachusetts on March 5, 2014. President Barack Obama was there to attend a Democratic National Committee event.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to the First Family during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
