Physical DescriptionDecorative calligraphy scroll with a yellow silk trim that has a floral pattern. In a rectangle in the center of the scroll there is black Chinese calligraphy with a red square maker's mark. On the reverse of the end with the ribbon there is additional Chinese text.
Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of a Greek Independence Day event at the White House on April 4, 2014.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
