Physical DescriptionRed full skirted knee-length wool coat. Red and blue striped silk lining on an ivory background on the interior body and ivory cashmere panels on the interior sides. There are two plastic buttons on the outside and an identical pair on the inside.Historical NoteFirst Lady Michelle Obama wore this dress at the France State Arrival on February 11, 2014 and the visit to the LBJ Presidential Library on April 10, 2014.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the First Lady and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
