Physical DescriptionPhysical DescriptionColorful sequined drapo vodou, an art flag associated with the Haitian Vodou religion. The artwork has a red satin border and backing. Handsewn sequins form a border of triangles around the central design, which consists of two sunbursts with crossed lines in the center divided by a purple tree-like figure with "ELYSEE" at the base of the figure. Surrounding these symbols are smaller symbols in the shape of leaves, circles, and stars.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration.
