Physical DescriptionA decorative silver plate with names of major world cities in alphabetical order with the distance in kilometers from Qatar and geographical location engraved along the rim, radiating from the center. The rim has a decorative fan-like design and the center has a bowl like depression with the seal of Qatar engraved in the center.
Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of a working visit to the White House by Qatari Emir Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani on April 23, 2013.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
