Physical DescriptionOttoman covered in a blue, beige, yellow, and red design. The design features many perpendicular lines as well as larger beige bands that are filled with additional designs such as llamas, birds, spiders, and geometric patterns. The lid (.b) has an exposed wooden piece that rests atop the base of the ottoman (.a) and the interior has wooden dividers that form twelve small squares and one rectangle. There is shaped piece of metal adhered to the bottom of the lid that spells out "Peru".Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of a working visit to the White House by Peruvian President Ollanta Humala Tasso in June, 2013.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
