Physical DescriptionA gold-inlaid vase with a depiction of the "Five Oxen" from the Tang Dynasty wrapped around the surface. The vase is primarily yellow and has gold trim around the opening. The top and bottom have multi-colored floral decoration. There are red seals and black writing, both in Chinese, throughout. The vase sits on a brown wooden lazy susan.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
