Physical DescriptionFramed etched print that depicts the Charlottenburg Palace in Berlin, Germany, through the front gates. The palace building is depicted in brown and green against a dark blue sky in the center of the work. On either side of the colored print there is a white on cream depiction of the guard sculptures at the entrance gates to the palace. The print is set in a brown-gold frame under a white mat.
Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of President Barack Obama's June 2013 visit to Berlin which concluded with a dinner at Charlottenburg Palace.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
