Physical DescriptionEmbroidered teal scarf with red, yellow, pink, and orange flowers with green stems and leaves. All elements have highlights created with metallic thread. The tassel decoration at the short ends are leaf shaped.The decoration along the long sides are delicate lace patterns that are made to look like leaves. The main portiion of the scarf is see-through.Historical NoteReceived on the occasion of APEC 2011, hosted in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to the First Family during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
