Physical DescriptionAstro blue iOptron SmartStar-R80 GPS computerized telescope with GPS with a 5,000 object database GPS and 1,000 mm focal length. Includes nine pieces: a silver and black tripod with mount screw (.a), light beige and blue Alt-Azimuth “Cube” telescope mount with black nobs, on/off switches, receiver plugs, and a bubble level (.b), GPS unit with clear control buttons and display screen (.c), black coiled cable with receiver plugs to attach GPS to mount (.d), large black and blue 114 mm Newtonian reflector optical tube with attached lens insert (.e), black external scope attachment with on/off switch (.f), 25 mm lens eyepiece (.g), 9 mm lens eyepiece (.h).

Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to Malia and Sasha Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
