Physical DescriptionWooden cube with each side of the cube containing a colorfully painted game board. There is a hole cut into the top of the cube with a wooden stopper painted green with a depiction of two sunflowers. The stopper has a metal chain attached to its bottom that is attached on its other end to the interior of the cube.The top side contains the Monopoly game board. The four sides contain the Chess and Checkers, Scrabble, Chinese Checkers, and Backgammon game boards. The bottom side contains the Cribbage game board.
All the pieces for each game is included and meant to be stored within the cube in corduroy drawstring pouches.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
