Physical DescriptionPhysical DescriptionFringed patchwork quilt made from squares of blue denim and white fabric with red and blue repeating pattern of the word "democrat" and donkey symbols. The denim patches are embroidered with red, white, and blue text and symbols. Prominent squares spell "BARACK OBAMA", "2009", and many quotes from the Obama campaign. Embroidered symbols include portraits of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., President George Washington, President Abraham Lincoln, a dog holding an American flag in its mouth, and several bald eagles.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration.
