Physical DescriptionWhite-colored blazer with notched lapels and black illustrations of scenes around Princeton University's campus, featuring orange highlights. The print on the inner lining consists of the names of Princeton alumni separated by orange paw prints. There are silver-colored metal buttons with engraved tiger heads on the cuffs and closing the blazer.
Historical NoteAs part of a long-standing tradition, this jacket was given to Princeton University Class of 1985 alumni for their 25-year reunion in 2010. First Lady Michelle Obama, who received her undergraduate degree from Princeton, could not attend the reunion, but she later received her jacket on September 23, 2012 at an Obama campaign fundraiser on Princeton's campus.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.Additional Details
