Physical DescriptionFramed photograph depicting Prince Harry in uniform for Halo Trust with a group of children in Mozambique. The Prince is holding up a child's shirt that is green and yellow with stars printed with an image of President Obama and the words "Obama Change We Can Believe In". Also in the frame are two fabric patches, at the top a white and blue one for the Halo Trust and at the bottom a red and white one with a skull and crossbones for mineclearance. Matted beneath the photograph is a personal message from Prince Harry. On the reverse of the frame there is a letter from the President of the Halo Trust USA and a news article from the Times about Prince Harry working to clear minefields like his mother before him.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a foreign official to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.
