Physical DescriptionBlack letterman jacket with the logo of the Army Black Knights on the upper right chest in gold. The jacket has a wool body with leather sleeves and details. Embroidered at the lower proper left is the Nike logo. There are pockets on either hip and at the upper left chest. Across the upper back is the word "ARMY" in black leather. Embroidered in gold inside the proper left side is "This We'll Defend"
Historical NoteThis jacket was presented after President Barack Obama attended the Army vs. Navy football game at FedEx Field on December 11, 2011.
Custodial History / ProvenanceThe item was a gift from a member of the general public to President Barack Obama during the Obama Administration. It was received through the Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives in January 2017 for deposit with the Obama Presidential Library.
